Morocco Ends Canada’s World Cup Dream in a Comfortable 3-0 Win.

Morocco continues their incredible run from the African Cup of Nations in the World Cup as they delivered a clinical performance in their 3-0 win to put an end to Canada’s historical World Cup run.
Canada, the World Cup host, started with the upper hand in the first half, filled with a tense, tightly fouled affair. Canada’s Tani Oluwaseyi almost broke the deadlock in the tenth minute but forced a smart save from the Moroccan goalkeeper Yassine Bounou. Six yellow cards were shown to both sides in total in the first half, but none could break the deadlock.
Everything changed in the second half as they unfortunately succumbed to Morocco’s quick counters, with Morocco’s Azzedine Ounahi dropping a brace on Canada. The World Cup host ended up conceding 3 goals, with two of them coming in the closing minutes of the game.
Morocco has qualified for the quarterfinals, becoming the first African country to qualify for consecutive World Cup quarterfinals, where they will face the former World Cup winner France.
