President Bola Tinubu has celebrated Vice-President Kashim Shettima as he clocks 60, describing his deputy as a trusted ally, patriot and valued partner in the administration.
In a birthday message personally signed on Tuesday, Tinubu praised Shettima’s dedication to Nigeria’s progress and unity, while acknowledging his contributions to the administration since both men assumed office in 2023.
The President described Shettima as his “brother and partner” and commended his courage, sense of duty and commitment to national service.
Shettima, who was born on September 2, 1966, previously served as Governor of Borno State from 2011 to 2019 and later represented Borno Central in the Senate before becoming Vice-President in 2023.
The Vice-President had earlier requested friends, associates and well-wishers to avoid placing birthday advertisements or organising public celebrations, opting for a low-key observance of his milestone birthday.
