JAMB Extends 2021–2025 Admission Deadline to November 30
JAMB has extended the deadline for 2021–2025 admission offers to November 30, 2026. Find out who is affected and what candidates must do.

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has decided to extend the deadline for candidates with outstanding admission offers from 2021 to 2025 to November 30, 2026. All affected candidates are expected to either accept or reject their outstanding offers through the Central Admissions Processing System (CAPS).
This extension follows a temporary disruption that left the CAPS platform unavailable for close to 96 hours. JAMB had previously moved the deadline from August 31 to September 30, but has now approved November 30 as the new deadline for candidates in this category to take action.
What Happens If You Miss the JAMB Deadline?
JAMB stated that outstanding 2021–2025 admission offers that remain neither accepted nor rejected after November 30 will revert to “Not Admitted” on the board’s records. Any subsequent request to update such an admission may attract an applicable penalty fee.
Affected candidates should therefore ensure they log into their JAMB e-Facility accounts, access CAPS and check for any pending admission offer. Candidates who have already secured admission in the 2026 exercise but still have an older offer can reject the previous offer without affecting their latest admission, according to JAMB.
It should be noted that the November 30 extension should not be confused with the general 2026/2027 admission exercise. JAMB has separately set October 31 as the deadline for public universities to conclude admissions for that session.
