Rivers Police Probe Renovation of Outpost by Suspected Cultists

The Rivers State Police Command has launched an investigation into the alleged renovation of the Abuloma Police Outpost in Port Harcourt by suspected cultists.

The development followed the circulation of videos on social media showing individuals believed to be cult members at the facility.

The Commissioner of Police, Olugbenga Adepoju, reportedly ordered an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the renovation, including its funding and whether proper approval was obtained. Two officers were also reportedly queried over the incident.

The investigation is expected to establish whether any police personnel breached professional standards or compromised the integrity of the force.
