Deadly Earthquake in Afghanistan Claims Eight From One Household

At least eight members of the same family have been killed after a moderate earthquake struck parts of Afghanistan, causing a house to collapse near the capital, Kabul.
According to reports from Associated Press, the quake measuring about 5.8 in magnitude hit late Friday, with its epicentre in the Hindu Kush mountain range, a region known for frequent seismic activity.
Local officials said the victims died in the Gosfand Dara area of Kabul province when their home caved in, while a child was also reported injured.
Although the tremor was felt across a wide area, including parts of neighbouring Pakistan, no additional casualties were immediately reported outside Afghanistan.
