Twelve Killed in Suicide Bombing Outside Islamabad Courthouse

At least 12 people were killed on Tuesday when a suicide bomber detonated an explosive device outside a court building in Pakistan’s capital, Islamabad.

Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi confirmed the incident, adding that several others were injured, with some in critical condition.

According to authorities, the attacker arrived on foot and lingered near the entrance of the court for about 10 to 15 minutes before setting off the bomb close to a police vehicle.

Security forces have since cordoned off the area as investigations continue into the motive and possible affiliations of the assailant.

“We are investigating this incident from different angles. It is not just another bombing. It happened right in Islamabad,” the minister said.
