Popular veteran Nigerian actor Taiwo Hassan, popularly known as Ogogo, has been diagnosed with stage-four cancer, according to appeals for help made by his family.
The actor’s daughters, Lima and Kira Taiwo, made separate emotional appeals on Instagram on Monday, seeking medical assistance and advice for their father.
The actor’s daughters are asking Nigerians, well-wishers and medical professionals with experience in cancer treatment to help the family with their fathers treatment. Their appeals circulated widely on social media, drawing attention from fans and as well as colleagues across the Nigerian entertainment industry.
One of the biggest concerns raised by Ogogo’s daughters is the reported difficulty in securing continued hospital treatment for their father. Lima and Kira also said hospitals had refused to continue treating the actor and appealed to medical professionals who could help them find appropriate care.
