MTN Confirms Network Restoration
The network disruption was first reported on October 8, when MTN warned that some services could be temporarily unavailable in affected areas.
The company said its engineers were actively working to resolve the problem and restore normal service. However, it did not disclose the specific cause of the disruption.
In its subsequent update, MTN apologised to subscribers who experienced difficulties accessing its services and confirmed that the issue had been resolved.
Although MTN announced that services had been restored, some subscribers may continue to experience connectivity problems.
The company advised customers still experiencing difficulties to relaunch their devices to reconnect to the network. Subscribers who continue to experience problems after restarting their phones may need to check their network settings or contact MTN customer support for further assistance.
