ADC Explains Atiku’s Absence From G100 Summit

The African Democratic Congress, ADC, has explained why its presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, was absent from the G100 opposition summit held in Abuja on Monday.

ADC National Publicity Secretary, Bolaji Abdullahi, said Atiku’s absence should not be interpreted as a snub or rejection of the opposition coalition efforts.

Speaking on Arise Television’s Day Break, Abdullahi explained that the summit was primarily about discussions and cooperation among political parties, rather than individual presidential candidates.

He stressed that the ADC was fully represented at the meeting, with himself and four of the party’s vice chairmen in attendance.

The G100 summit brought together representatives of major opposition parties to explore areas of cooperation ahead of the 2027 general elections, including the possibility of building a stronger united front against the ruling APC.
