Olise Scores Twice, Then Gives Reporter a Nightmare Interview

Michael Olise produced another outstanding performance for Bayern Munich on Thursday, scoring twice and providing an assist as the German champions thrashed Bodø/Glimt 5–0 in the Champions League.

But after doing almost everything right on the pitch, Olise appeared to have very little interest in doing anything at all in front of the microphone.

The French winger was interviewed by DAZN after the match, and his extremely brief responses quickly became one of the talking points of the night.

The reporter first asked him how it felt to score such brilliant goals.

Olise simply replied:

“I don’t know.”

The reporter tried again, asking how he manages to produce such goals.

Olise’s response was just as casual:

“I shoot and it goes in.”

The reporter then pointed out that if scoring goals was that simple, everybody would be doing it.

Olise replied:

“I’m not the only one that can score a goal. I don’t think so.”

At that point, the reporter openly admitted that Olise was making the interview difficult and asked:

“What makes you happy? What makes you laugh?”

Olise stared blankly before giving perhaps the most Olise answer possible:

“Yeah.”

The exchange quickly went viral, with DAZN itself joking about the interview and fans once again poking fun at the Bayern star’s famously reserved personality.

And perhaps the funniest part is that Olise had every reason to be excited.

Bayern had already established a commanding lead before Olise took centre stage late in the game. Jamal Musiala opened the scoring early in the second half, Harry Kane and Alphonso Davies added further goals before Olise scored twice to complete the 5–0 victory. He also provided the assist for Kane’s goal.

So while Olise’s football did plenty of talking at the Allianz Arena, the 24-year-old made it clear that he wasn’t interested in doing much talking himself.

Two goals. One assist. Five goals for Bayern. And almost no words from Olise.

Mr Nonchalant strikes again.
