Wike: Tinubu’s 2027 Defeat Will Come With Consequences for Me

FCT Minister Nyesom Wike has said he expects to be among the first politicians targeted if President Bola Tinubu is defeated in the 2027 presidential election by either Atiku Abubakar or Peter Obi.

Wike made the remarks during a media chat in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, while speaking about his decision to openly support Tinubu’s re-election bid.

The former Rivers State governor acknowledged the political risks attached to his position, saying his strong backing of Tinubu has made him a target for opposition politicians. However, he maintained that he has no regrets and remains focused on helping the President secure another term.

Wike’s comments come as political alignments ahead of the 2027 election continue to intensify, with Tinubu facing potential challenges from opposition figures including Atiku and Obi.
