Trump Announces 10-Day Israel–Lebanon Ceasefire

U.S. President Donald Trump said Israel and Lebanon have agreed to a temporary 10-day ceasefire, marking a potential pause in weeks of escalating violence along the Israel–Lebanon border.
According to reports from Reuters and other international outlets, the truce is expected to begin at 5 p.m. Eastern Time following discussions between Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Lebanese President Joseph Aoun.
Trump disclosed that the agreement followed what he described as “excellent conversations” with both leaders, adding that the ceasefire is intended to create space for broader peace negotiations.
The development comes amid an intensifying conflict between Israel and the Iran-backed militant group Hezbollah, which has driven cross-border attacks and heightened regional tensions.
