Trump Rules Out Extending Iran Ceasefire, Hints at Renewed U.S. Military Strikes

U.S. President Donald Trump has signaled he is unlikely to extend the current ceasefire with Iran, warning that time is running out for diplomacy as uncertainty continues to cloud ongoing peace negotiations.
In a recent interview, Trump said Washington is in a strong negotiating position but does not intend to prolong the temporary truce beyond its deadline. He stressed urgency in reaching a deal, noting that the United States “doesn’t have that much time” to wait for progress in talks.
The ceasefire, which has provided a brief pause in weeks of escalating conflict, is set to expire soon, and officials have been exploring the possibility of further negotiations reportedly including talks in Pakistan.
However, Trump’s stance suggests that any extension will depend entirely on whether a concrete agreement is reached.
Despite leaving the door open for diplomacy, Trump has adopted a hardline tone, warning that military action could quickly resume if negotiations fail.
He indicated that U.S. forces are prepared to act, with reports quoting him as expecting renewed strikes if no deal materializes.
