Iran, Israel Pause Hostilities, But Tensions Remain High

Iran and Israel have announced a temporary halt to their latest exchange of attacks, easing fears of an immediate escalation in the Middle East.
However, both sides have warned that military action could resume if further provocations occur.
The latest round of violence began after Iran launched missiles toward Israel in response to Israeli strikes targeting Hezbollah-linked sites near Beirut, Lebanon.
Israel subsequently carried out retaliatory strikes on targets inside Iran, marking one of the most direct confrontations between the two regional rivals in recent months.
According to reports, both governments signaled on Monday that they would suspend further attacks for now following international calls for restraint.
U.S. President Donald Trump publicly urged both sides to stop military operations and pursue diplomatic efforts aimed at restoring stability.
Despite the pause, Iranian officials warned that Tehran would respond forcefully if Israeli attacks continue, particularly against Hezbollah positions in Lebanon. Israeli authorities also maintained that they reserve the right to act against threats to their security.
