Retired Teachers Describe Osun Election as Free and Fair

Two retired teachers, Mrs Caroline Olayemi Ajala and Mrs Kadijat Olatoke, who cast their ballots at Polling Unit 18 in the Fiwasaye area of Osogbo Local Government Area, have described the ongoing Osun State governorship election as peaceful, free and fair so far.

Speaking shortly after voting, the two retirees said security operatives were present at the polling unit, while voters also turned out in good numbers to exercise their franchise.

They commended the conduct of the exercise, describing the voting process as seamless and orderly, with no major disruption recorded at the polling unit as of the time of the interview.

According to Ajala and Olatoke, the presence of security personnel helped maintain order and contributed to the peaceful atmosphere at the polling unit.

As of the time of filing this report, the voting process at Polling Unit 18 was proceeding smoothly, with voters participating peacefully in the election.

The voting exercise continues across Osun State as voters cast their ballots to elect the next governor of the state.
