AltSchool Africa founder HackSultan has partnered with tech entrepreneur Sam Otigba and Tunde Onakoya with aim to launch a ₦250 million scholarship fund for NYSC members and recent graduates. Here’s everything you need to know about it and how to apply, step by step.
What it offers:
a. ₦160,000 per successful applicant (₦10,000 for application fees, ₦150,000 for tuition)
b. Free access to any AltSchool Africa diploma programme
c. Career mentorship and internship opportunities.
d. Free laptops for selected beneficiaries (separate application required)
Who can apply:
a. Serving NYSC corps members
b. Prospective corps members preparing for service
c. Recent NYSC alumni
Available diploma programmes include:Cloud Engineering, Data Analysis, Technical Product Management, and Digital Marketing Automation and Sales, among others.
Programmes run for 9 to 12 months, with participants becoming eligible for internships from month six.

Sam Otigba, who co-announced the initiative on X (formerly known as twitter), said the programme aim is to help graduates build “real, in-demand tech skills that lead to jobs,” while also addressing the disconnect between formal education and what employers actually want.
