Israeli Strike on Southern Lebanon Kills Eight as Violence Escalates

Lebanon’s state-run National News Agency (NNA) says the death toll from an Israeli air strike on the southern coastal town of Adloun has risen to at least eight people, with several others reportedly injured.

According to Lebanese media reports, the strike targeted the outskirts of Adloun, a town located south of Sidon in southern Lebanon.

Rescue teams and emergency workers were deployed to the area as search operations continued through the rubble.

The latest attack comes amid renewed cross-border fighting between Israel and Hezbollah despite an ongoing ceasefire arrangement brokered earlier this year.

Israeli forces have intensified operations across southern Lebanon in recent weeks, while Hezbollah fighters continue launching rockets and drones toward northern Israel.

According to report, that Israeli troops on Friday had expanded military operations beyond the Litani River as clashes with Hezbollah escalated further.

Lebanese authorities say the conflict has displaced more than a million people and caused thousands of deaths since fighting reignited in March.
