President Tinubu’s 26 new appointments covered 10 different federal agencies, with the former Ekiti governor, Ayo Fayose, named chairman of the Rural Electrification Agency.
Ayo Fayose, a member of the opposition PDP, will head the REA board alongside two directors, joining the agency’s existing Director-General and executive team. In a notable cross-party move, Tinubu also named retired Major General Junaid Bindawa as chairman of the National Salaries, Incomes and Wages Commission.
The appointments form part of President Tinubu’s broader push to strengthen his leadership across agencies covering energy, agriculture, and housing.
