Iran Sends Fresh Peace Proposal to U.S. Through Pakistan

Iran has submitted a new proposal aimed at restarting negotiations with the United States, using Pakistan as a mediator in ongoing efforts to end the conflict between both nations.
According to Iran’s state news agency IRNA, the proposal was delivered to Pakistani officials, though details of the terms have not been made public.
The move comes amid a fragile ceasefire that has been in place since April, following months of escalating military exchanges involving Iran, the U.S., Israel, and regional allies.
Pakistan has continued to play a key backchannel role, helping both sides exchange proposals and keep diplomatic communication alive, even after earlier talks stalled in Islamabad.
Reports indicate that Iran’s proposal may focus on de-escalation steps such as reopening the Strait of Hormuz while postponing more contentious issues like nuclear negotiations.
The development has already had a slight impact on global markets, with oil prices easing after news of the proposal, raising cautious optimism that both sides may be exploring a path toward resolving the crisis.
However, major disagreements remain, particularly over Iran’s nuclear program and U.S. demands for stricter controls, meaning any breakthrough is likely to take time.
