11 Killed as Russia Launches Major Strike on Ukraine

At least 11 people were killed and more than 100 injured after Russia launched one of its largest drone-and-missile attacks on Ukraine overnight, targeting the capital, Kyiv, and several other major cities.

Ukrainian officials said residential buildings, civilian infrastructure, and public facilities were damaged in the strikes.

According to Ukraine’s Air Force, Russia fired 73 missiles and 656 drones during the assault.

While air defenses intercepted hundreds of incoming targets, explosions and falling debris caused significant destruction across Kyiv, Dnipro, Kharkiv, and other regions.

Rescue teams continued searching damaged buildings for survivors as emergency operations remained underway.

The attack came days after Ukrainian authorities warned that Moscow was preparing a major escalation in the war, which has now entered its fifth year.
