Galaxy S27 Ultra: Everything You Need to Know

The Samsung Galaxy S27 Ultra is gearing up to be one of the brand’s biggest overhauls in years, with leaks pointing to a well-deserved battery boost and a crucial camera redesign. Here is everything currently known ahead of its expected February 2027 launch.

Release date: The S27 Ultra is expected to be unveiled in February 2027, with availability following in late February or early March, matching the brand’s usual annual cycle.

Lineup expansion: For the first time, Samsung is expected to launch four models together: the standard S27, S27 Plus, a new S27 Pro, and the S27 Ultra, with the Pro model expected to be a smaller, more affordable alternative to Ultra-level features.

Battery: After keeping the Ultra locked at 5,000mAh for seven straight years, leaks suggest the S27 Ultra could finally go past 6,000mAh, coming along with a Qi2 wireless charging support.

Camera system: The Ultra is likely to get a new 200MP main sensor, a 16-megapixel selfie camera (from previous generations), and possibly two telephoto lenses for improved zoom versatility.

Chip and display: Reports predicts an upgraded Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 chipset, new LPDDR6 RAM, and a refined 6.9-inch Dynamic AMOLED 4X LTPO display, alongside a rumored titanium frame.

With all pre-launch leaks, Samsung is yet to confirm any of these details yet, so specs could still shift before the official unveiling.
