Iran Military on ‘Highest Alert’ Amid Ceasefire Tensions

Iran’s military says it remains fully prepared for any possible escalation despite the ongoing ceasefire tensions with the United States.

Speaking amid growing uncertainty surrounding the truce, Iranian Army spokesperson Brigadier-General Mohammad Akrami Nia stated that the country’s armed forces are maintaining “the highest level of readiness” due to what Tehran describes as continued distrust toward Washington and its allies.

Akrami Nia said Iran has continued military monitoring, operational planning, and combat preparedness even after active hostilities reduced. 

He warned that any renewed aggression would be met with a stronger response from Iranian forces.

The statement comes as tensions continue to surround the fragile ceasefire agreement reached earlier this year between Iran, the United States, and Israel following weeks of regional conflict.

Reports indicate disagreements still remain over Iran’s nuclear program, sanctions relief, and security guarantees tied to the Strait of Hormuz.
