Fatal Bedford Rail Crash Leaves Nine Fighting for Life

Nine people are battling for their lives after a devastating train crash near Bedford, north of London, that left one driver dead and several passengers injured.
The collision, involving two rail services on Friday, has sparked an urgent investigation as authorities continue to assess the impact of the tragedy and provide support to those affected.
Emergency services rushed to the scene, with more than 80 people receiving medical treatment and 28 remaining in hospital.
Authorities said nine victims are currently in critical condition, while others suffered serious and minor injuries.
The British Transport Police and the Rail Accident Investigation Branch have launched investigations to determine what caused the crash.
Officials said the collision involved services from Corby and Nottingham, both heading towards London.
UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer expressed condolences to the victim’s family and thanked emergency responders for their efforts, as rail services around the area faced major disruption following the incident.
