An eight-year-old girl was seriously injured in a wolf attack at a German wildlife park. Police are investigating as the park remains closed.

An 8-year-old girl has reportedly been seriously injured after a wolf attack at a German wildlife park near Berlin. The incident happened on October 28, at Wildpark Johannismühle in Baruth/Mark, Brandenburg, while the child was inside an animal enclosure with a staff member and two other children. She was airlifted to hospital, while the other children and the accompanying employee were not injured. Source: Sky News.
Police are investigating how the attack took place and whether any safety rules were breached. Authorities said the incident occurred during a special animal-keeper activity for children before the park opened to the public. The wildlife park, which houses grey and Arctic wolves alongside animals such as brown bears and lynxes, has been temporarily closed while authorities examine the circumstances.
This incident comes months after a wolf bit a woman near a shopping area in Hamburg, in an encounter described by authorities as highly unusual. Although wolves generally avoid humans, the latest attack has renewed attention on wildlife safety and how visitors interact with animals in managed enclosures. Investigators have not yet released a final explanation for what happened at Johannismühle.
