US Signals Imminent End to Iran War, Leaves Door Open for Future Strikes

The United States could soon bring its ongoing war with Iran to an end, President Donald Trump has said, signaling a possible shift toward de-escalation after weeks of conflict.
In an interview, Trump stated that the U.S. would exit the war “fairly soon,” but warned that Washington could return for targeted “spot hits” if necessary.
The conflict, which began in late February, has significantly impacted global stability, with rising oil prices, disrupted supply chains, and escalating attacks across the Middle East.
Trump also suggested that U.S. military operations had weakened Iran’s capabilities, particularly around its nuclear ambitions, adding that the goal of the campaign was nearing completion.
Despite optimism from Washington, tensions remain high. Iran has continued military actions in the region and denied claims of seeking a ceasefire, while global powers like China and Pakistan have called for urgent peace talks.
