APC: 2027 Campaign Will Focus on Tinubu’s Record

The All Progressives Congress (APC) says its campaign for the 2027 presidential election will be centred on issues and the performance of President Bola Tinubu’s administration, rather than personal attacks or unrealistic promises.
The party’s position comes as preparations for the 2027 election gather momentum. The APC has already constituted its Presidential Campaign Council, with Tinubu as chairman and former Zamfara State governor Abdul’aziz Yari appointed as Director-General.
According to the party, its message to voters will focus on what the Tinubu administration has achieved since taking office in May 2023 and what it intends to accomplish if given another term. The APC has also said it is prepared to take its campaign to Nigerians based on the President’s record.
The approach is expected to put the government’s economic reforms, infrastructure projects and other policies under greater public scrutiny as the election approaches.
With opposition parties already challenging the credibility of the administration’s record and its 2027 campaign structure, the APC’s decision to make achievements the centre of its campaign is likely to make the government’s performance one of the major issues in the election.
