Trump Warns Iran as Talks Reach Final Stage

U.S. President Donald Trump has said negotiations between Washington and Tehran are entering their final stage, while warning that Iran could face renewed military action if both sides fail to reach an agreement.
Speaking on Wednesday, Trump said there was a “good chance” of securing a deal with Iran, but stressed that the United States was prepared to respond forcefully if diplomacy collapsed.
His remarks come amid rising tensions in the Middle East following weeks of conflict, ceasefire negotiations, and fears of a wider regional war.
“We’re in the final stages of Iran. We’ll see what happens. Either have a deal or we’re going to do some things that are a little bit nasty, but hopefully that won’t happen,” he told reporters on Wednesday.
“We’re going to give this one shot. I’m in no hurry,” Trump said. “Ideally I’d like to see few people killed, as opposed to a lot. We can do it either way.”
Iran has also issued strong warnings of retaliation if fresh attacks are launched, with Tehran accusing the United States and its allies of escalating tensions in the region.
“If aggression against Iran is repeated, the promised regional war will extend beyond the region this time,” the Revolutionary Guards said in a statement.
Reports indicate that diplomatic efforts involving regional mediators, including Pakistan and Gulf states, are ongoing as both sides attempt to avoid another major confrontation.
